The national educational project “Food sharing and the culture of reasonable consumption” will be implemented on funds received for winning a grant from the All-Russian public and state movement of children and youth (Movement of the First).
The food bank team will hold a series of eco-brunches: special educational webinars for children and their parents aimed at introducing schoolchildren to the current problem of food losses and waste, responsible shopping and handling food at home, food sharing technology, and beneficial food waste recycling methods.
The goal of the project is to convey the necessary knowledge and skills on responsible attitude to the environment and food, “instill” good environmental habits and key principles of social volunteering in an interactive form.
Geographical footprint of the project includes Moscow, St. Petersburg and the following regions: Ryazan, Rostov, Kostroma, Vologda, Lipetsk, Sverdlovsk, Pskov, Vladimir, Voronezh, Tula, Chelyabinsk, and Krasnodar regions, and the Republic of Udmurtia.
