As part of her business trip to Voronezh, President of the Charity Foundation Foodbank Rus Yulia Nazarova took part in the opening of the All-Russian Social Forum of the World Russian People's Council and signed a cooperation agreement with the Metropolitanate of Voronezh.
The parties agreed to cooperate on the creation of a food bank culture, implement charity projects in food aid to people in difficult situations, victims of natural, environmental, industrial and other disasters, refugees, and forced migrants.
Yulia also made a presentation on the topic “First food bank in Russia, female face of charity” and presented His Eminence Metropolitan Sergius with a letter of gratitude on behalf of all the fund’s employees. In turn, the Metropolitanate awarded Foodbank Rus with a Bishop's blessed letter.
After the official program, the fund’s president visited the Hangar of Mercy, the largest humanitarian aid distribution warehouse and distribution point in the region, where she got acquainted with the work of the curators and volunteers of the Voronezh branch of the food bank.
The Voronezh region is in the top 10 following the results of a decade-long operation of Foodbank Rus. Since its start of operation in the region, the food bank has distributed over 3.7 mln kg of product aid worth over 715 mln rubles.
