Yulia Nazarova, President of the Charity Foundation Foodbank Rus, joined the community of experts on the crowd platform of the forum Strong Ideas for a New Time. She will participate in the selection of applications and provide qualification assessment of ideas and mentoring assistance to authors in the National Social Initiative.
The federal forum Strong Ideas for a New Time, arranged by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation, is held with the purpose of identifying and developing projects that can ensure sustainable development of Russia in the new economic conditions.
The ideas are assessed by several parameters, including significance, relevance, innovation, efficiency, as well as the necessary competencies in the team.
Yulia Nazarova formerly acted as the leader of the idea “Development of a national network of food banks as an essential part of a green economy.” The idea was included in the top 100 of the 2022 forum Strong Ideas for a New Time. The project received support and joined the ASI’s No Loss! voluntary initiative aimed at the efficient management of organic waste and fight against food losses. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives also became a partner of Foodbank Rus to create a national system of food banks.

For instance, our solution is based on food sharing, a social and environmental technology that provides food aid and reduces the volume of food losses and waste. At the same time, the infrastructural systemwide scaling of food banks contributes to positive changes in five areas at once: economics, environmental protection, social area, charity, and volunteerism.”
