Results of the Work of the Foodbank Rus in January 2021

Our branches have started working since the first days of January. Despite the general holidays, food distributions took place in St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Chelyabinsk.

Traditionally, a lot of help in the work of the foodbank comes from volunteers. For our part, we ensure their safety—all volunteers work in PPE.

In January we distributed 215,000 kg of food

The year began with an important event for the Pskov branch of the Foodbank Rus.The Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Vedernikov and the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Foodbank Rus Georgy Romanov signed a cooperation agreement. The parties pledged to work together on the implementation of charitable projects on the territory of the Pskov Region concerning food aid, as well as events aimed at developing the volunteer movement in the region.

Basket of Kindness Project. We Started 2021

Like our other projects, joint campaigns “Basket of Kindness” (“Korzina dobroti”) with X5 Retail Group also did not stop during the holidays and continued in January. Families of the Sverdlovsk Oblast and Krasnodar have received “sweet packages”; large actions are being prepared in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. I will tell you about their success in the following mailings.

Working on Legislation

But VAT still remains. In January, the heads of PwC, TIAR Center, ASI, and the Foodbank Rus chaired a meeting to discuss actions to overcome the tax collision in 2021.
