The Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov and the Chairman of the Governing Council of the FoodBank RUS Georgy Romanov discussed the activities of the Fund in the region and signed a cooperation agreement.
The meeting was also attended by Yulia Nazarova, President of the Foundation, Artem Metelev, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centers, and Svetlana Karelina, Director of the Youth Policy Department of the Lipetsk Region.
According to the agreement, the parties agreed to work together on the implementation of charitable projects affecting food aid to those in need and to organize events aimed at developing the volunteer movement in the region. And also to introduce the principles of rational consumption and production, which is one of the main tasks of the FoodBank RUS as a “food bank”.
In addition to the business program, the meeting participants attended the Lipetsk Region Volunteer Forum. We planted fruit trees on the territory of the Lipetsk zoo - mountain ash, bird cherry, apple, got acquainted with the activities of the regional public organization of disabled people "School of Masters". The final part of the event was a visit to the warehouse of the Rus Food Fund in Yelets and the presentation of food sets to the wards of the Fund.
